POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Manager position with Aetna International develops strong external and internal relationships to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue, membership and earnings objectives for existing larger customers in assigned business segments, products and geographies.

Fundamental Components:

Aetna International is looking for a motivated, energetic individual to join the Pacific/Northwest market account management team. Position is located in California. The Account Manager will be assigned to a specific book of business and will be responsible for retaining & growing revenue.

As the Account Manager, the candidate will:

  • Develop and maintain favorable relationships with Aetna International's customers and brokers through superior customer service

  • Retain and grow the client relationship and effectively position our products with an emphasis on expanding the assigned book of business

  • Work with customer on their strategy with regard to their health and wellness programs

  • Balance strategic planning and tactical implementation

  • Communicate and present information to audiences at all levels, both internally and externally

  • Review and deliver renewal activity

  • Travel to customers and brokers as necessary

  • Work to develop and maintain understanding of the international business environment

  • Provide input to product development areas as appropriate to ensure competitive products and services

  • Prepare required and special market specific reports within expected timeframes

    BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

    2-5 years industry or customer service experience.

    Multi-functional experience, e.g., underwriting.

    EDUCATION:

    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

    Insurance/Life Agent - current and active State of CA license is required.

    Telework Specifications:

    Position needs to be in California and will be assigned to a nearby Aetna office. There is the potential telework before and after client meetings.
