Product Marketing Manager, Commercial Products Aetna Marketing is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our team in Hartford, CT to support the ongoing commercialization of new and existing product offerings that advance the growth agenda for specific segments of our commercial business (e.g. large group, small group, public & labor, specialty, etc.). You will partner closely with business leaders as well as the product and solutions management leaders to understand the product roadmap and develop the marketing strategies required to successfully position new and existing products within the existing Aetna value proposition. This is a strategic marketing role and, as such, demands a strong understanding of marketplace trends and changes, the role of analytics voice of the customer, and voice of market programs, creating business value through marketing, marketing campaign orchestration and integration, and product/solution positioning and messaging. Specific areas of focus for this role will be:Developing and executing on strategic marketing initiatives that support the launch and ongoing growth of our product portfolio across Aetna s commercial business. This includes contributing to the development of product content, positioning, messaging, core benefits, competitive differentiators, and clear and memorable value propositions to internal and external stakeholders.Developing deep product/solution knowledge to help evangelize the key go-to-market benefits to internal and external stakeholders. Act as the voice of the customer within the organization to provide knowledge and relevance for all product/solution activities.Supporting the thought leadership agenda that helps Sales nurture relationships throughout the sales and relationship cycle within these segments.Working with sales enablement to accelerate the socialization of new products with the sales organization.Partnering with the field marketing leads (National Accounts & Territories Marketing) to provide them with the library of assets required to market to plan sponsors and brokers. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES · Positioning/Messaging: Support the creating of product positioning and messaging that differentiates Aetna's products in the market· Product Launch: Support the creation of the product launch strategy for new products, creating a detailed plan which outlines all the necessary sales tools and product materials required to meet audience needs along every step of the customer journey· Product Content: Support the creation of product marketing materials, website content, and tools necessary to help customers make educated purchasing decisions around the entire suite of Aetna s products for this segment. This includes brochures, datasheets, product guides, videos, e.g., thought leadership, testimonials, etc.· Demand Generation: Work to integrate new product marketing materials into the overall demand generation strategy. Strategically place materials across multiple channels (web, social, direct, etc.) to drive increased demand for new products.· Measure and continuously improve: Procure activity reports, e.g., how our experience designs are changing member behavior, and feed them back into segmentation, product development and engagement strategies. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:5+ years of strategic marketing experience – preferably in the healthcare industry – with experience marketing individual products.Candidate should be highly organized and detail oriented with proof-reading and quality control skills.Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Must demonstrate strong project management skills: multi-tasking priorities and facilitating/executing multiple marketing programs.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to collaborate across boundaries.Intermediate analytic skills. LOCATION:Primary location is Hartford, CT; open to Chicago, IL.This is an office-based position. EDUCATIONBachelor s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business or other related field is required.
