We are building an exciting new clinical and member experience program at Aetna. Aetna Community Care is a member centric, team-delivered, community based model that joins members where they are. Reporting to the Senior Director of Community Operations, the Strategic Planner supports the Community Partnerships team in developing and implementing approaches to address the social determinants of health for our members.
The team does this by identifying and analyzing unmet community needs, identifying new opportunities and community partnerships, designing and managing community and public health pilot programs and supporting the effectiveness of community based social workers and community health educators in the field through the development of knowledge management tools.
Coordinates the planning and submission of local community social determinants and gaps reviews, vendor capability analyses, strategic operating plans in support of the community planning standards Facilitates the monitoring of strategic, operational, and research plans for management through dashboards and scorecards Facilitates and creates community research pilot documentation, statements of work, and contracts Facilitates the administration, communication, analysis and vendor management of community services Coordinates external research services and plans research service workshops and briefings for Aetna Coordinates research services across the enterprise and provides research and analysis on key technology and/or business issues for management Assists in the selection of services and negotiation of contracts with community and research vendors, as well as among internal stakeholders Creates and publishes emerging industry and competitive information Coordinate services, analyst calls, teleconferences, vendor briefings, web access, etc Gathers and tracks local community metrics, community resource vendor quality, research ID, and other research service usage Performs research and analysis for management to enable increased value of research and community organization offerings Conducts research associated with business and research pilots in support plan formulation Monitors and reports on usage of community services Assists in the development of communication vehicles (e.g., presentations, vendor briefings) Assists in the development of research and analysis relative to the organization's strategic direction Participates in development of consistent, efficient and cost effective processes, procedures in support of planning and research Participates in special planning and research projects.
3 or more years of experience and exposure to any of the following: research coordination, public health programming, research program development, vendor management, project coordination, project management or management consulting.
3 or more years of experience with coordinating services across the enterprise.
Proficient experience developing detailed analysis, presentations and support materials to successfully implement projects, strategy and/or change initiatives.
Previous RFP and Proposal writing experience
Demonstrated relationship management skills at peer and management levels.
Professional communication skills; good business acumen
Proficient with MS Office Programs
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
