POSITION SUMMARY

The Rating Environment Team is growing, we are looking for a Business Project Program Manager, in this role the person will identify and lead process improvement initiatives across multiple underwriting function. This person will collaborate with various leaders and stakeholder to identify, implement, and measure process improvement and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Responsible for supporting the business activities related to the development, implementation and ongoing management of project(s) working with the development team within the large group underwriting rating systems. Identifies gaps, recommends enhancements, and writes system specifications for new and/or existing rating system workflows based on broad view of the organization, with a primary focus on underwriting. Monitors requests for assistance from customers, responds promptly and accurately and maintains issue database. Identifies cross-functional support required to achieve business objectives. *This is not an IT Project Manager role. Fundamental Components:· Identifies opportunities for improvement and drives successful change within the organization.· Collaborates with Enterprise ABX resources to leverage various LEAN and 6 SIGMA tools to drive a culture of continuous improvement.· Develops communication and program initiatives to drive and maintain a process improvement culture.· Accountable for process improvement productivity targets and goals.· Responsible for cross-functional project management, often managing multiple concurrent initiatives.· Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and workflows based on broad view of the organization.· Collaborates and partners with other functional managers, other business areas across/within segments or other business areas to ensure all workflow processes and interdependencies are identified and addressed.· Consults with constituents (these may be internal and/or external) to scope/define project.· Influences change in order to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services.· Leads all project and/or program management work including monitoring and tracking of progress and status update communications.· Responsible for the financial implications of projects and/or program budgets.· Assists others to identify solutions to issues that negatively impact program and/or project plan.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:· 5+ years of project management and/or medical underwriting required. Medical Underwriting and rating knowledge is strongly preferred· Proven track record in meeting project milestones, negotiating for resources, attentional to detail· Excellent negotiation skills· Experience includes development and management of multiple budgets related to various projects and/or program· Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Project Management/Lean Six Sigma is desired

Project Management/Project Management Certification is desired
