This position on the national Quality Reporting team provides in-depth data analytics support for the HEDIS hybrid data project.
Perform research and analysis in a relational database environment, including writing SQL queries to identify trends, draw conclusions, make recommendations and validate results.
Evaluate the data and analytic needs of assigned projects and assure the integrity of the data.
Define and deliver analytical solutions in support of the hybrid medical record project.
Collaborate with internal and external partners and organizations to provide analytics that answer business questions.
Designs and conducts analyses and outcome studies using healthcare claims, pharmacy and lab data.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently
Ability to understand and probe into technical details.
Under general direction, independently execute analyses or reports to meet project needs.
May mentor other analysts.
Five or more years of healthcare quality data analytics experience.
Experience in working in a data warehouse environment as well as the ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources.
Advanced SQL querying/programming abilities in large relational databases.
Knowledge of analytic programming tools and methods (SQL, Access, Hadoop).
Ability to communicate statistical and technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form.
Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams.
Strong problem solving skills and critical thinking ability.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
