Utilizes clinical skills to review claims for medical necessity and coding edits.
Utilizes clinical experience and skills in a collaborative process. Gathers clinical information and applies the appropriate clinical criteria / guideline, policy, and procedure using clinical judgment to render coverage determination.
Requires RN with unrestricted license. 3+ years of clinical experience required. Managed Care experience preferred Requires proficiency with computer skills which includes navigating multiple systems and keyboarding. Effective communication skills, verbal and written. Able to work in a team environment. Ability to multitask, prioritize and effectively adapt to a fast paced changing environment. Typical office working conditions with productivity and quality expectations.
The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
