The DSNP Account Associate Position supports the sales growth of the Aetna Better Health of Virginia Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans. This is a call center based position taking inbound and making outbound calls to current Aetna Medicaid membership to schedule in home enrollment appointments for sales executives to secure plan enrollments. Sales, account management and business retention for Aetna products occasional community based field work to support community based marketing and enrollment activities.

Fundamental Components:

  • Identifies constituent-specific service issues, identifies solutions and may lead resolution of issues working with other areas.

  • Collaborates with sales team to achieve growth/retention of Aetna DSNP membership.

  • May support plan administration activities, including member inquiries, appointment rescheduling, plan welcome calls and retention calls.

  • May assist in constituent training on product and policy questions.

  • May take initial calls for direct sales requests and forward requests to appropriate sales staff.

Performance Measures

Performance metrics required of minimum number of appointments set and calls taken/made daily, weekly and monthly will be measured.


Background/Experience Desired

2-5 years of health insurance industry experience preferred.

Depending on role, knowledge of sales support and underwriting functions is preferred.

Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent work experience.

Life and Health Insurance license preferred but not required

Additional Information (situational competencies, skills, work location requirements, etc.) This position will me office based in Richmond office with occasional opportunity to work at home as business needs require. This is a call production performance measured position applicant should be comfortable in a role where meeting goals is a requirement. The applicant should have computer skills necessary to use word, excel and other business documentation software necessary to perform functions of the role.
