Top leadership position in the Arizona market providing strategic direction to the Public & Labor sales and service staff to achieve sales, service, retention and profitability goals for the segment.

Fundamental Components:

Establishes, communicates and executes a robust segment strategy to achieve annual objectives.

Ensures achievement of sales, membership growth, retention and profitability goals.

Recruits, attracts and retains a diverse workforce and engages and develops them through mentoring and coaching.

Analyzes competitive environment to support and improve pricing, underwriting and product development strategies as well as service approaches.

Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with all constituents (plan sponsors, consultants/producers, internal departments).

Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure internal and external constituent needs are met by the organization. Removes organizational barriers that impact the team's ability to achieve desired objectives.

Educates constituents on Aetna specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current key business issues.


At least 10 years of industry sales experience.

At least 5-7 years of sales management experience.

Experience in the Public & Labor segment strongly desired.

Bachelor's Degree or higher required

Minimum of 10 years experience in the health industry

Excellent communication skills with experience in addressing groups in a public setting

Successful history of leading a team to excelling in sales and/or service results

Experienced in setting strategy and implementing for results


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
