As our Senior Data Warehouse Engineer for Aetna AIA, youll be working throughout the solution process for our Data Warehouse, Analytics, and Business Intelligence needs. This includes the integration of contact center applications into our system, working with business users to understand needs and requirements, research and profiling data, develop database and ETL solutions, final testing and deployment, and documentation. You'll partner with enterprise wide teams, acting as a liaison to develop integrated reporting strategies, aligning solutions with business requirements in multiple reporting environments. You'll also manage testing projects for both operations and data validation, tracking timelines and milestones.

Key Experiences/Achievements:

  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a technical/data analyst role in a data driven environment

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience required for T-SQL Querying and Programming and Administration (Ideally with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2017)

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in ETL development and Microsoft SSIS and SSRS

  • Experience in application development utilizing a relational database and ability to work with large datasets within and outside of database environments

  • Ability to synthesize technical requirements or processes into laymans terms

  • Has successfully managed project/product implementation through partnerships with cross-functional teams, both internal and external

    Technical/Functional Requirements for the position include:

  • Necessary programming language and operating/BI system expertise including but not limited to SQL

  • Strong experience in SQL

  • Able to query complex datasets and derive conclusions, including: Using all types of joins between multiple tables; Optimizing queries to aggregate large datasets (millions of rows)

  • Ability to import/ export data to and from a Database system Identify automation opportunities within current analytics processes and work closely with IT to implement the solution

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to engage the right groups to support the ask

  • Support Ad-Hoc requests from the users and business and turn the requests around in a timely manner

  • Ability to integrate Full Data sets into various Database Architecture and model data and design database architecture

  • Strong experience in Dimensional Modeling (star schema)

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus

  • Call center and ACD/Phone switch (e.g. Avaya or Genesys) is a plus

  • Hadoop experience preferred

  • Tableau Experience preferred

  • Successful management of cross-functional teams throughout phases of project/product implementation

  • Willingness to establish and maintain a variety of business relationships with internal stakeholders as well as third-party vendors


    Proven track record in meeting project milestones and negotiating for resources.

    Experience includes development and management of multiple budgets related to various projects and or program.

    Proven project management skills.


    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
