This is an office based position in Overland Park, Kansas. Theclinical pharmacy advisor supports a new and innovative member centric clinicalcare program for Aetna Medicaid, the Pharmacy Medication Management Program. ThePharmacy Medication Management Program (PMMP) integrates clinical pharmacistswith the local health plan clinical care team to improve medication utilizationand member outcomes. The PMMP clinical pharmacist is responsible for leadingpharmacy based initiatives and supporting the work of clinical care teamsserving high risk Medicaid members. The PMMP clinical pharmacist will beresponsible for assisting in the development and implementation of PharmacyMedication Management Programs as well as independently administering clinicalpharmacy initiatives.Fundamental Components:

· Collaborate with plan level associates(including pharmacy director, care managers, medical directors, providerrelations, quality management, and others as necessary) to identify highpriority member and provider populations requiring clinical pharmacy interventions· Review and evaluate pharmacy and medical claimsdata and reporting with plan associates to identify members and prescribersrequiring clinical pharmacy interventions· Assist in the development of PMMP tools,resources, and outreach material as necessary· Serve as the brand ambassador for the PMMPwithin the plan to drive health plan associate utilization of the availableprograms· Educate and train plan level associates on PMMP processesand priorities · Independently complete accurate and comprehensivemedication reviews and perform the corresponding member, care manager, andprovider outreach as necessary· Serve as the medication expert for health planclinical care activities · Engage providers to encourage the appropriateprescribing of medications · Work collaboratively with health plan associatesincluding care managers, medical directors, and quality management to performmember outreach that leads to improved medication utilization BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Current unrestricted Kansas state license required. 3-5 years clinical pharmacy experience required (Retail pharmacy experience is not included in the required number of years of experience) Managed care experience preferred Experience in managing long-term, medication care plans is required. Understanding HEDIS and other quality programs and processes is preferred. Knowledge of clinical program components, formulary designs, and prescription benefit trends. Understanding of medical and pharmacy terminology. Local travel required The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Doctor of Pharmacy.
