POSITION SUMMARY

Perform applied statistical research and custom analysis of integrated healthcare data, interpret results, and make recommendations based on analytic findings to business areas. Make recommendations about data collection methods, metrics definition and evaluation methods. Define and deliver analytical solutions in support of healthcare business initiatives that drive short and long term objectives. Collaborate with internal and external partners and organizations in the design and execution of analytic studies to answer business and research questions. Design and conduct analyses and outcome studies using healthcare claims, pharmacy, lab, consumer data, employing appropriate research designs and statistical methods. Develop, validate and execute algorithms, statistical models and business intelligence tools that answer applied research and business questions. Develop and participate in presentations and consultations to internal and external clients.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE required:

Master s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or closely related quantitative or scientific field. Minimum of one year of healthcare research or analytic experience working with Healthcare Insurance EDW data; building consumer segmentation, and performing life time value, retention propensity, flu prediction, behavior change pilot, and clinical action assessment analysis. Must have experience working with: Unix, shell script; Hadoop, Pig, Hive/Tez; and Netezza to ETL large quantitative of data for analysis. Experience with R, Python, SAS; Pyspark, H2O, and Sparklyr packages; Nature Language Processing including topic extraction, unstructured data processing and cleaning; and statistical techniques including matrix factorization, supervised learning, clustering, bayesian modeling; hyper-parameter tuning and cross-validation; Tableau or RShiny; and Agile framework.
