Family Summary/MissionCreates implements and evaluates training tools and programs to support thedevelopment of the skills and competencies Aetna employees require to effectivelyachieve Aetna s business goals. Position Summary/MissionDevelop and execute a training strategy to support the mission and business goals of thebusiness segment or shared service area to which the training group is aligned; leverageand coordinate alignment to enterprise talent strategy, infrastructure and tools. Overseethe design, development, delivery and evaluation of state-of-the-art training tools andprograms to equip Aetna employees and other related audiences to achieve superiorlevels of quality, service and business results. Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements include but are not limited to(* denotes essential functions)• Provide leadership and management to business area training organization; achievingor exceeding all Aetna s expectations for leaders.• Utilize workforce and talent analytics in conjunction with Aetna s strategic andoperational goals to determine development needs for aligned businesses• Develop a training strategy that supports the achievement of business performancegoals and aligns with Aetna's enterprise talent strategy. ()• Ensure that Aetna's strategic messages are appropriately imbedded in training toolsand programs. ()• Work in partnership with Enterprise Workforce Development to support businessspecific talent segment and leadership needs for aligned business• Identify and manage vendor relationships to supplement internal capabilities andproduce cost effective, state-of-the-art training solutions. ()• Utilize a variety of educational media to ensure the right training is available tosupport the specific needs of multiple and diverse audiences within area(s) ofaccountability. ()• Manage design, development and delivery of performance-based training fordesignated audience. ()• Evaluates effectiveness and return on value of training programs. ()• Ensure compliance with all Aetna learning standards and policies (e.g., vendormanagement, learning management, instructional design and user interface standardsetc.). ()• Collaborate with other enterprise and functional training areas for impact andintegration of efforts. () Background/Experience DesiredEducation and Certification Requirements• 7-10 years professional experience managing a corporate training function.• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Additional Information (situational competencies, skills, work locationrequirements, etc.)Superior knowledge and application of performance-based instructional designmethodologies, adult learning principles and educational media.
