The Digital Strategy and Operations function drives and delivers digital solutions enabling a personalized and relevant consumer experience with Aetna. The roles in this function are accountable to drive and support the channel strategy, operating plans, media management, and digital asset support and management.
Apply strategic thinking and demonstrate awareness of business goals while striving for a highly usable and engaging end-to-end user experience. Define, socialize and implement best practices for user experience design, leveraging industry standards. Turn user experience ideas into practical, workable, testable concepts. Translate those concepts into recommendations that achieve simplicity. Have a hand in all aspects of design (UI/UX Design, mobile design, website design, and brand design.) and have the ability to design and deliver for a variety of platforms (web, mobile, tablets, etc.). Translate broad business requirements into detailed UI specifications, using a variety of tools and documents, including: sitemaps, paper prototypes or wireframes, user interfaces, screen mock-ups and style guidelines. Collaborate on documentation of user types, scenarios and tasks, as well as conceptual models and process flows. Collaborate with a cross-functional team including: project managers, designers, content specialists, site developers and IT leads to produce final screen designs and user interface specifications. Review final implementation of UI projects to ensure proper execution of the user experience and compliance with the specifications. Support the planning of qualitative and quantitative user research.Drive the development and evaluation of personas, user stories, and usability studies.Stay current on emerging industry trends and the competitive landscape to provide insight on ways to improve usability and website functionality. Contribute to UAT process for all new site enhancements with Digital and cross-functional teams. Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role designing mobile, web, and/or other on-device applicationsAn online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centered mobile design solutions is a requirement for application3+ years of experience successfully leading design projects from concept to delivery to customers Proven experience with rapid, iterative design and development processes Experience planning, executing and reporting on usability testing of your design solutionsSkilled in visual, user-centric, and web-based design with expertise in user-centric design process and executionStrong customer advocate and use that to design scalable, effective UXDemonstrated visual design expertise; capacity for creating fun, highly usable designs and layouts, and a propensity towards simplificationFluency in best practices for mobile information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques. Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for the mobile devicesAbility to prototype with industry standard tools or HTML, CSSThe ability to create high quality mockups and style guidesThe ability to quickly turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups quickly in a fast-paced, iterative environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Passion for defining, articulating, and integrating the role of design within an organization Experience with creating complex, user-centric websites Familiarity with web and mobile technologies and their impact on both work practices and the feasibility of solutions Project management skills including: scope definition, deadlines, stakeholder management and corporate accountabilityExperience with the user-centered design (UCD) process and experience in designing transactional applications Solid understanding of information architecture, mastery of user interface design and strong visual design sensibilityProficiency in industry tools, such as: Adobe Creative Suite, Visio or Axure Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Preferred Skills:
