Aetna Sales Support Consultant in Linthicum, Maryland

This position will facilitate the overall administrative sales support for new and existing business for a specific market segment(s) that will include all health, dental and other ancillary product lines; while working in conjunction with the sales and service teams to grow and retain membership. In addition, the position will function as a subject matter expert for various systems used for new and existing business as well as standard Microsoft office applications.
90% of the role will focus on providing administrative sales support to new business quoting, to include by not limited to the review, preparation and submission of quotes to underwriting, working with external customers to secure new sales documents that are essential to finalize quote submissions.
10% of the role will assist other administrative tasks to support the sales team, (e.g. enrollment material requests, ID card validation)
Previous (1-3 years) sales administration, insurance industry or customer service experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a fast pace environment.
Ability to work well with various large teams on time sensitive work.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
