We are seeking self-motivated, energetic, detail oriented, highly organized, tech-savvy Registered Nurses to join our Workers Compensation Field Case Management team. This opportunity offers a competitive salary, full benefits, and a performance-based bonus paid out on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Location/Territory: Hastings, Kearney, North Platte area. Covers mid to western Nebraska. Position Summary:As a Field Case Manager – Registered Nurse (RN), you will assess the medical and vocational needs of injured employees and develop a plan of care to facilitate their appropriate and timely return to work. The Field Case Manager – Registered Nurse (RN) is essential for ensuring injured workers receive the best possible care and move towards full rehabilitation in a timely manner. This is a work from home position but requires traveling locally 75% of the time to medical appointments with clients. As part of the Workers Compensation Field Case Management team, you will act as a liaison between patients, their family members, employers, providers, insurance companies, and healthcare personnel. The Workers Compensation Field Case Management team is accountable for improving overall member outcomes and facilitating their timely return to work. Additional Responsibilities of the Field Case Manager – Registered Nurse (RN):- Communicate over the phone and travel daily within a designated geographic area for in-person case management activities- Monitor patient progress toward desired outcomes through assessment and evaluation- Confer with specialists concerning course of care and treatment- Develop and administer educational and prevention programs- Arrange referrals, consultations and therapeutic services for patients- Prepare required documentation of case work activities- Apply all laws, regulations, and special instructions required by individual insurance carriers and referral sources that apply to the provision of rehabilitation services or case management activities- Testify as required to substantiate any relevant case work or reports Required Skills for the Field Case Manager – Registered Nurse (RN):- 3+ years of clinical practice experience as a Registered Nurse-Registered Nurse license- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing delivery of rehabilitation services- Knowledge of workers compensation and disability benefits- Proficiency and skill in navigating multiple systems, keyboards, and Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Preferred Skills for the Field Case Manager – Registered Nurse (RN):- 3+ years of case management experience- Certified Case Manager (CCM), Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN), Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), and/or Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certification-Bilingual in Spanish and English Education- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience As a Workers Compensation Field Case Manager, you will be offered:- Autonomy- Periodic monetary bonus- Monday-Friday schedule- Reimbursement for mileage, tolls, parking, licensure and certification- Laptop, iPhone and printer/fax/scanner all in one- Paid time off for all major holidays- Accrual-based vacation and sick days- 401(k)- Free Continuing Education Units (CEU) for maintaining licensure Additional Job InformationAetna is about more than just doing a job.
