Aetna is seeking an experienced professional skilled in the management of electronic security systems and technology. The Security Administrator will support the Vice President of Corporate Security and the entire Global Security management team in maintaining the overall safety and security of Aetna s people, facilities, and assets. In addition, this individual will assess, design, and integrate electronic security systems (CCTV and access control) and support the implementation of security measures by the Security Operations program. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to foster a collaborative approach to achieve strategic goals in a manner consistent with Aetna s Global Security practices and control standards. .
Support physical security technology initiatives and strategies – using an all-hazards, risked-based approach – while ensuring security measures and processes are aligned with and support the Company s business objectives
Coordinate security activities – specifically technical measures – to ensure they appropriately address the direct effects of an event or incident
Evaluate Global Security technology and program processes to effectively protect Company assets from adversarial threats
Monitor emerging technology and facilitate appropriate implementation strategies across the enterprise
Develop and maintain technical design criteria and standards for access control systems enterprise-wide
Assess security requirements for projects – prior to design and construction – for Real Estate Services, and oversee the certification of security and access control systems to ensure project completion
Coordinate with property owners/management teams the integration of electronic security systems into existing, or new, base building systems at Company leased facilities
Consult with architects, engineers and internal IT personnel to specify security system inputs and ensure the implementation of established security and technology standards within facility build-out designs
Review and approve drawings and equipment specifications ensuring compliance with security system standards and design intent
Identify and evaluate outside vendors/partners responsible for security and access control design, implementation, commissioning and maintenance
Review and approve security vendor proposals and submittals for completeness and compliance with established access control system standards and security measures
Perform on-site testing, commissioning and certification of newly installed security and access control systems, and manage system modifications/vendor corrective actions for identified deficiencies
Oversee the operational transition of newly certified systems to physical security operations for 24/7 alert and performance monitoring
Partner and develop collaborative relationships across the Global Security team for program sponsorship and resources to ensure short- and long-term goals are achieved
Integrate convergence planning, both physical and cyber, into core security and business functions
Prepare and conduct security-related training programs
Maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement and other private sector security groups
Develop and manage security strategic plans and associated forecasts and budgets
Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills, as well as the ability to work and collaborate within the various Aetna business unites and across all levels of employees.
Sound technical skills and demonstrated aptitude for information analysis.
Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with diverse groups of individual and functions, both internal and external.
Ability to adhere to instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form.
Strong working knowledge of the core concepts of corporate security and physical security technology - operational experience in these key areas is required.
Ability to efficiently manage and complete multiple tasks simultaneously Instructional and supervisory capability and adaptability required.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years related experience in law enforcement, military or corporate security required.
Advanced/professional certification(s) (e.g. ASIS International's PSP and/or CPP)

BA or BS degree preferred
Minimum of five years of related experience in law enforcement, the military or corporate security required
Advanced/professional certification(s) (e.g., ASIS Internationals PSP and/or CPP)
