Medicare Business Intelligence COE is an integral part of the Medicare organization responsible for providing Business Intelligence and analytical insights into key decision processes and focusing on complex initiatives with measurable impact on performance. This position will report into Sr. Director of Medicare Business Intelligence and plays a critical role in shaping and developing analytical capabilities to improve health of our members and optimize member experience. The individual will apply experience from strategy consulting, analytics, and Business Intelligence to successfully lead multiple complex initiatives and deliver innovative solutions that help drive MA, MAPD and PDP business insights, performance and growth.

Fundamental Components:

(*) Accountable for developing and perpetuating a high performing, innovative culture focused on transforming the way Aetna Medicare delivers care and service to our members via an objective, consultative, data-driven approach

(*) Consults with internal clients to identify opportunities to implement BI/Analytical solutions to business problems at an advanced level.

(*) Acts as an analytics product owner translating business needs into analytics projects and actions.

(*) Collaborates with business partners to understand their problems and goals, develop analytical solutions, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics.

(*) Understanding key drivers of business value and being able to translate into business opportunities and frame them as analytical problems.

(*) Lead and coach team of strategic and technical employees and consultants

(*) Presents recommendations to senior staff and internal clients.

(*) Mentors more junior team members.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

(*) Minimum 7 years of healthcare, health insurance, or pharmaceutical industry analytic experience

(*) 4 years experience in strategy consulting or on strategy teams in large companies.

(*) 2 years experience in programming using SAS, R, Hadoop, or Python.

(*) 4 years of business experience leading analyses and initiatives with track record of business impact.

(*) 2+ years of people management experience.

(*) Medicare experience preferred

(*) Ability to perform and manage multiple activities and changing priorities.

(*) Strong reporting skills using Tableau, Excel, Access, Word and/or PowerPoint.

(*) Ability to communicate statistical and technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form.

(*) Strong PowerPoint skills

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
