POSITION SUMMARY

Assists in creating and deploying winning product strategies and managing product portfolio to increase and retain Aetna membership. In contribution to product strategy, performs performance/data analysis, strategy development and articulation, product management and may assist with Quarterly Performance Review development, business case development, and Request for Information responses.

The Product Strategy Associate will support DSNP Leadership and Product Managers in all aspects of product strategy, expansion and submission rules as they pertain to CMS and State rules.

Fundamental Components:

Maintain strong understanding of Aetna/business unit strategy, customers, healthcare, and regulatory environment. Collect, analyze, and interpret information on customer trends, competitor moves, and product performance. Contribute to the generation of unique and actionable insights that drive strategy.

Understand key drivers of product performance including holistic, integrative view of all other functions, i.e. pricing, sales, distribution, quoting, marketing, as well as other markets/segments, and Aetna business processes.

Manage performance/data analysis, may contribute to Quarterly Product Review, and request for proposal responses.

Manipulate data, understand patterns, and draw conclusions in a hypothesis driven approach to analysis.

Contribute to development of rigorous strategic/economic business cases for short-term enhancements, maintenance fixes and/or new products that are breakthrough and positioned to win in the marketplace, including 3-year roadmaps. Substantiate strategy with rigorous analysis and data/research, including milestones, success metrics, and objective, high-level benefits, e.g., membership, revenue, medical cost saving projections. Understand strategy implications in context of other products and member-facing tools.

Support Product Manager in articulating strategy in compelling manner customized for different stakeholders including laying out facts / data in easily digestible format and drawing clear conclusions.

Provide input and thought leadership into broader strategy work.

Build and leverage strong relationships to work effectively across business areas.

Identify cross-functional support required to achieve business objectives, including areas of tactical and strategic support.

Effectively manage multiple competing products/projects with effective prioritization and eye for detail.

Product management responsibilities may include management and updating of PADUs, management of exception process, execution of product refreshes or product compliance, updating and review of marketing materials, fielding of product questions, pulling of product data, and doing product training.

Take full accountability for end result, serve as product expert, and leverage all resources available to achieve objectives.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

3-5 years related work experience

Must be organized and efficient to manage deadlines.

Excellent analytical skills

Excellent writing skills

Medicare Advantage experience or knowledge preferred

D-SNP Duals experience preferred

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Telework Specifications:

Full-Time Telework (WAH); Looking for candidates in various cities to cover national plans.
