Aetna s General Management Development Program 2018The General Management Development Program (GMDP) is a transformative 4 year full-time development program that grooms early-in-career talent. Sponsored by Aetna s president, Karen Lynch, the program offers a unique opportunity for accelerated development of the general management skillset, while providing well-rounded experience, exposure to the business, as well as honing participants leadership capabilities.

The GMDP provides three rotations to allow participants immersive experiences in key areas of Aetna s business. These business lines are the growth engine for Aetna, fueling the company's investment in the capabilities that will create a simpler, more affordable, and higher quality health care system for employers, providers and consumers.

Rotations are 18 months in duration and the location will vary; rotations will require relocation. Each of the three rotations builds capabilities to position participants for success as they aspire to future general management leadership positions.

The GMDP offers unprecedented exposure to Aetna s core businesses through challenging and exciting rotations. Background desired:· Currently pursuing a bachelors degree, focused in Business, Management, or other relevant majors· 3.3+ GPA preferred· Demonstrated History of high performance· Potential to be a senior Leader in 10 years· Strong leadership and interpersonal skillsAetna is about more than just doing a job.
