Privacy Manager – Farnborough, Hampshire The Privacy Manager promotes compliance with laws and regulations and applies the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in advancing company objectives, protecting the company’s reputation and safeguarding the interests of the company’s customers, employees and shareholders. Responsibilities include: monitoring, investigating, training/education, enforcement, reporting, collaborating and consulting with business leaders. About the RoleThe Specialist Privacy Manager applies advanced compliance, practical, analytical and communication skills to support, implement and help develop compliance programs, processes and privacy by design. Knowledge of GDPR, PECR and EU guidance notes essential.Exhibits leadership in implementing an effective compliance program including but not limited to, privacy impact assessments, gap analysis, auditing and monitoring, maintaining effective compliance policies and procedures, together with effective communication and training.Assure the appropriate protection and usage of all information processed by, stored in or transferred by the company, or by third parties such as outsourcing organisations acting on behalf of the company.Use privacy software to help maintain and drive GDPR compliance including assisting with maintenance of Article 30 records, data mapping and compliance documents.Provides oversight of or prepare complex privacy impact assessments, supervisory authority breach reports, filings and follow-ups, and manages complex audit activities.Manages multiple complex data breaches covering sensitive personal data and multiple jurisdictions. Manages and co-ordinates responding to data subject rights, including subject access requests, deletion requests etc.Leads complex implementation of privacy by design within the health insurance sector including review of new products, software, international transfers and intra-group data sharing.Independently develops processes, forms and related materials to meet complex regulatory and legal requirements.Builds and maintains positive, productive relationships with internal and external individuals at all organizational levels.Co-ordinate and maintain consistent feedback from data champions. Collaborative approach required across group companies and various jurisdictions.Independently identify cross border transfers and able to co-ordinate and implement multi-jurisdictional transfers of personal data.Identifies needs and acts as resource for colleagues and effectively guides teams to accomplish complex goals.Adapts to shifting priorities, works well under pressure and adheres to deadlines.About You 5+ years’ experience as a Privacy Manager in healthcare, insurance or financial services or a relevant business area.IAPP certification or equivalent. Demonstrated Project Management skills.
