Assists with the execution of long- and short-term broker distribution strategy for the health plan. Collaborates with the marketing management team to develop and implement communication, training, and marketing approaches that positively impact sales and marketing activities among brokers in the various regional markets.

Fundamental Components:

Participates in the development and execution of a regional broker strategy for assigned markets, including expansion areas.

Manages reporting tools including the development of new reports to monitor broker production and retention efforts.

Organizes and delivers regional broker meetings, open house programs, continuing education seminars, and other programs offered to brokers in the region.

Meets occasionally with appointed brokers to review production and strengthen brokers relationship. Serves as brokers advocate and as liaison to all internal functions.

Coordinates and conducts training programs for brokers.

Interacts with internal sales and service teams to create successful marketing campaigns.

Designs communication strategies and works with the Marketing Department to deliver effective communication to the broker community.

Tracks and measures various program effectiveness. Assists with designing and measuring broker performance.

Performs other duties as required.

Background/Experience Desired

Minimum of 3 years of sales support or marketing experience required.

Prior experience in health plan sales or related area.

Excellent computer skills including MS Office applications such as Excel and Access required.

Project management and analytical skills are critical components of this position

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed environment.

Knowledge of health care industry dynamics and trends.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
