Aetna International is building an innovative new clinical program offering virtual primary care. The foundation of this program will be a set of evidence-based clinical protocols for delivery of virtual primary care across a global setting.
Aetna International are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive Aetna s vHealth sales, service and retention efforts in the MEA region.
The main focus of the role is to achieve profitable growth and earnings targets for Aetna s vHealth proposition.
This individual will drive Aetna vHealth utilization and member engagement for large corporate and SME clients across the MEA region.
The Senior Business Development Manager will support the Head of Business Development in achieving revenue goals for Aetna vHealth in the MEA region.
Drive Aetna vHealth sales growth; analyzing target accounts to develop a structured business plan and strategy that creates profitable and sustainable new business.
He/she will achieve sales and margin targets for Aetna vHealth sales, while managing costs within budget.
The Senior Business Development Manager will conduct effective, consultative, relationship-based selling.
Leverage Care Management, Operations and Network resources to provide the necessary technical, clinical and business content to Aetna vHealth customers as needed.
Understand and maintain knowledge of client contacts; their background, drivers and specific business needs in respect of Aetna vHealth.
Responsible for client and broker relationship development, focusing on influencing at the highest level.
Contributes to the development and learning of vHealth for the broader Aetna MEA team, acting as a conduit for Aetna s vHealth proposition in region.
Build long-term strategic alliances with accounts to continue to add value and identify and implement cross-sell opportunities.
Ensure knowledge of and compliance with Aetna Quality & Integrity policies, as well as regional insurance and telemedicine regulations.
Ideally 5-7 years post-graduate experience.
Minimum 5 years in a business/account development role in the MEA region, including Dubai.
3+ years experience in closing large, complex and strategic deals.
Proven track record of relationship building and over-achieving sales targets.
Healthcare experience in a commercial environment.
Outstanding influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive best in class sales outcomes.
Direct and/or indirect management experience; managing in a matrix organization.
Overseas travel 1 – 2 times per month may be required for the role.
Education to Bachelor Degree level
Fluent in English Language
Arabic a distinct advantage
