National Sales Executive to work in the Dallas office supporting New Business Development
Act as strategic business partner to both internal and external constituents (peers, producers, prospects) to optimize the positioning of Aetna's products and services and to attain profitability and membership objectives. In Market
s where Joint Ventures (JVs)are available, serve as a JV subject matter expert to help both locally- based business and branch business understand the value of the JV solution. Assess the competitive environment and develop sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and drive a competitive advantage. Accountable for establishing and maintaining relationships with appropriate internal partners,(underwriting, sales support, medical mgmt., etc.)
Initiate contact with prospects where there is no relationship with and establish meetings. Salesforce.com management. RFP responsibilities include: Summarize RFP, Kick-off consultant phone call, complete proposal & strategy
summary, prepare for and lead National Account Sales Support strategy call, & questionnaire reviews. Coordinate RFP follow-up & submit CIMS (implementation) requests. Create finalist presentation starting point. Local Networking. Attend regional conferences. Coordinate with Local & Regional Business Segment (Middle Market), Public and Labor Business Segment and internal ancillary product SVPs to ensure consistency in messaging. Develop broker and consultant relationships. In certain Markets, serve as additional direct prospecting sales representative. Cultivate productive relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers. Implements strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in assigned areas.
3-5 years of industry or sales experience required
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Office based to begin with and then would consider telework after a satisfactory time period in the position. Then could do 2 days office-based, 3 days telework. Final arrangement to be determined and agreed upon between hiring manager and new hire.
