Aetna Project Management Lead in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania

This is not an IT Technology project management position. Dynamic position on the Care Management System Enablement Team supporting the implementation of a new Care Management system within Aetna, supporting new care models. This will afford you a unique situation to influence the future state of Care Management at Aetna, in support of Aetna clinicians. You will be responsible for all aspects of assigned projects and those that you are enlisted as a supporting team member. Customer focus is critical as the new system will be leveraged for all lines of business across all markets.

A demonstrated track record for process improvement is a must, as every opportunity will be taken to streamline program practice for our clinicians can focus on driving member care in support of their goals. By working closely with other areas of the company such as Medical Policy, Network, Claims, Provider Pricing/Contracting, Legal/Compliance, and/or segment leaders this position will be responsible to ensure the correct decisions are made, in order to configure the system to assure user and member satisfaction.

This is a fast-paced Agile implementation, applicants will be expected to travel to participate in all Release Planning events. A focus for this applicate will be system optimization for CVS based care, which is evolving and growing at this juncture.

Fundamental Components:

A proven track record implementing Care Management programs/systems - desired to have worked within the SAFE/Agile Framework.

Experience working on large scale innovative projects that use your creative and analytic skills to translate the business needs into project outcomes.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with various level of management.

Strategic thinker, that understands and can bring together the end to end healthcare concepts that result in improved member experiences.

Concise documentation of decisions, workflows, controls points, and business processes as reference to support approved project scope


Proven track record in meeting project milestones and negotiating for resources.

Proven negotiation skills.

Experience includes development and management of multiple budgets related to various projects and or program.

Proven project management skills.

Participation in Agile projects or a defined role within Agile implementation (PM or PO) with tracking responsibility desired.

Involvement in cross-department initiatives and/or large scale corporate implementations a plus.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Master's degree.

Telework Specifications:

Initially - Part-Time Telework: 4 days in office, with 1 day telework initially with additional days telework allowed with advanced notice. Option for telework fulltime to be based on candidates proven track record as a teleworker. Flexible on state location for right candidate.

The idea candidate would work out of the Blue Bell or Hartford office
