The Care Mgmt Associate (CMA) role supports medical services including precert intake and sending to clinical and discharge verifications along with outreach calls to members.

Fundamental Components:

Responsible for initial entry of precert cases

Screens medical services incoming calls

Outgoing calls for entry of appropriate discharge date and disposition

Identifies triggers for referral to CM and or and other Specialty Programs

Utilizes eTUMS and other Aetna systems to build, research and enter member information, as needed

Performs non-medical research pertinent to maintenance and closure of open cases

Provides support services to team members by answering telephone calls, taking messages, researching information and assisting in solving problems

Making outreach calls to members to explain programs


2-4 years experience in a medical setting or customer service setting


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.

Hiring shift could be 12:30 t 9 pm. Coverage on Saturdays and or holidays by rotation basis.
