We are looking for a Care Management Associate (CMA) to join our Team in Allentown PA. This is a call center position that works telephonically with providers and members who have medical, commercial insurance coverage through an employer-based health plan. Answering incoming calls from providers or members regarding precertification or registration for surgical procedures and coordinating services with nurses. Looking for someone who enjoys working in an office in a high energy and motivated team environment.

Fundamental Components:

The Care Management Associate will play an essential role in speaking with providers and directing calls based on individual needs. The Care Management Associate also speaks with members, with the goal of connecting each member with the Aetna resource that can help them achieve their optimal level of health. This position also has administrative activities to support the unit, such as retrieving and sorting electronic records to the appropriate unit for handling. Collaboration with the member and provider as well as existing Care Management Associates is an integral part of this position. Timely documentation in on-line systems is a required skill, to meet internal deadlines, as well as applicable Federal and State laws. This position will be Monday through Friday. Saturday work required after 6 months of training, 1-2 Saturdays per quarter can be expected, to meet federal and state regulated turn-around times.

High School Diploma or GED required. Prior telephonic customer support required with strong keyboarding skills. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication, telephonic and organizational skills. Time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities needed. Collaboration with the member as well as existing team Care Management Associates is an integral part of this position. Medical Insurance experience desired, but not required.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.
