POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Visual Designer works closely with UX and software to create best in class designs for the digital space, including mobile applications and websites. He/she is able to create engaging and simple designs with a user-centered design focus. The visual designer ensures that all designs are interpreted and implemented as specified in the given design direction and meet all business requirements, with focus on project accuracy and timeliness.

Fundamental Components:

Executes artistic design and layout solutions for digital content based on specifications and concepts determined by stakeholders

Maintains brand and visual guidelines throughout every project

Understanding of UX design principals, strong attention to detail, ability to grasp multiple product requirements.

Designs icons, color schemes, image assets and other design features as directed and as projects demand.

Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange information related to assigned activities.

Experienced in working within the parameters of software specifications

Able to follow and contribute to the design and documentation of visual style guides

Work closely with technical and content writers to support design documentation

Supports design process from concept to production and is able to design with both conceptual and technical vision

Understanding and ability to produce visual assets for various file types/screen resolutions.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

-5+ years of professional experience in interactive design, visual design or user interface design.

-Online portfolio a must, demonstrating creative challenges and design solutions in mobile applications and web

-Full knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Axure

-Agency experience preferred

-Experienced in responsive web, HTML 5/CSS

-Experience in Illustration and/or healthcare a plus

-General Business/Communicating for Impact/FOUNDATION

-General Business/Ensuring Project Discipline/FOUNDATION

  • Technology/Leveraging Technology/ADVANCED

    EDUCATION

    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
