Sr. Director of Sales Operations for Group to Individual Retiree Exchange will be responsible for building secondary sale operational capabilities offering multi-carrier Medicare products.

Fundamental Components:

(*) Responsible for recruiting, hiring and on-boarding full time and contract (vendor) resources to support the Exchange operations, consisting of licensed benefits advisers, customer center representatives, and management.

(*) Develop and manage an operating model to drive operational effectiveness: budget and staffing, client visits, appointment scheduling, call center operations, reporting, and performance management.

(*) Deliver organizational metrics and individual goals to maximize sales productivity and quality of customer support using data and applied analytics.

(*) Act as the single point of contact for clients representing the Exchange operations. Educates clients on specific policies, product information, procedures and issues.

(*) Delivering overall member satisfaction that is comparable to best in class companies.

(*) Achieving sales and profit targets for the entire Book of Business (i.e. new and existing members).

(*) Achieving retention rate of existing members at levels of 90%+

(*) Providing necessary support to marketing team for RFP activities.


(*) 4 year college degree or 15+ years in sales leadership role(s) preferably in Health Care Industry

(*) 7+ years of managing individual contributors and managers

(*) Client management and relationship management at an C-suite level

(*) Superior knowledge of Medicare products, Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), and telesales procedures.

(*) Extensive experience in developing internal sales capabilities for major healthcare insurance companies for Medicare products in a direct to consumer call center environment. Experience in the Group to Individual Exchange enviornment highly desirable

(*) Life & Health insurance license is a plus but not required to be employed. It is required to obtain a license within 90 days from the employment start date

(*) High degree of computer and data literacy


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Group To Individual retiree exchanges is the brand new initiative to build a stand alone distribution channel offering portfolio of Medicare products from multiple carriers. The channel will primarily service retirees of employers shifting from defined benefits to defined contribution model and will offer online and telesales shopping capabilities.
