Aetna Manager, Network Management (Team negotiates contractual relationships with providers) in Sugar Land, Texas

This position will sit in the Sugar Land, TX office location.

Manage team and design, develop, contract, maintain and enhance relationships with facilities, physicians and ancillary providers which serve as contractual networks of care for members; foster growth of managed care products; and enhance profitability of Aetna.

Fundamental Components:

Manage team of staff. Responsible for negotiatingcontractual relationships with providers according to prescribed guidelines. Manages value based provider compensation/reimbursement agreements. Manages provider network demographic updates. Works cross functionally with other departments to support network strategies, maintain provider networks and monitor directory accuracy. Responsible for understanding and managing medical cost issues and identifying and initiating appropriate actions. Provides sales and marketing support. Builds contracts in Strategic Contact Manager (SCM).

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
