POSITION SUMMARY

Voluntary benefits sales role selling Aetna Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity products through the insurance Broker/Consultant community in the 500 lives and up market segment.

Fundamental Components:

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • Minimum 7 years of notable group Voluntary benefits sales experience marked by proven success generating top and bottom line growth.

  • Previous sales roles within respected insurance companies and/or Brokerage/Consulting Firm where he/she developed and executed a successful business strategy that led to new business/revenue outcomes.

  • Demonstrated success over an extended period of time with client organizations of similar size and complexity.

  • Proven ability to think strategically providing insight on clients, competitors and the market by leveraging internal and industry tools and reports

  • Proven ability to sell group Accidental Injury, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity.

  • Proven ability to sell multiple product offering in the 1000 + lives segment, including up-selling and product line expansion in existing clients.

  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the capacity to work independently and will take an entrepreneurial approach to his/her assigned producers.

  • He/She will have exceptional relationship-building skills both internally and externally to various client organizations.

  • He/She must be viewed as a team player who is able to build effective partnerships with underwriting and service teams.
