As a Specialty Medication Pre-Certification Supervisor, you will lead a team that processes provider prior authorization requests accurately and efficiently. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and accountable leader with a positive attitude, who is willing to work in very dynamic environment and pitch in where needed to make this team successful.

Fundamental Components:

This position is responsible for front line staff management of the specialty pharmacy pre-certification unit. The Clinical Services Supervisor will provide direct supervision and assistance to Pharmacy Technicians and specialized support staff to maximize program results. Responsibilities include collaboration to develop/enhance various program elements, provide feedback and mentoring to actively develop the skills and competencies of direct reports, and execute performance evaluation and coaching. Individuals in this position will utilize strong communication skills including partnering with other business units to resolve issues with systems and processes. He/she will handle escalated calls and issues (with internal and external business partners) to effectively and satisfactorily resolve provider concerns. The Supervisor will be expected to drive a culture of clinical professionalism, motivate teams, facilitate change management, leverage various tools to drive efficiency and adjust to and complete, other duties as assigned.


1 to 3 years prior supervisory experience in call center environment

Experienced in resolving escalated and/or complex issues

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Strong coaching, feedback, facilitation & mentoring skills

Strong leadership skills with experience in developing direct reports

Ability to make routine & difficult decisions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.
