Position Summary/ Mission:

The Senior Director, Medicare Telesales sets the strategies, budgets and go-to-market plans and then leads the telesales execution of these plans to drive member acquisition and retention. Has a deep understanding of business strategy and the skills and knowledge to work across the markets, the sales organization and shared marketing and analytics functional areas.

Fundamental Components:

(*) Manages all service and sales aspects of the telephonic sales and retention channel.

(*) Ensures all sales goals for all products (Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug Plans and Medicare Supplement Plans) are met or exceeded.

(*) Ensures prospects, members and brokers (through agent activation and inbound broker calls) are provided with exceptional service.

(*) Drives the development of strategies for accelerating growth and then determines the telesales budgets and plans to achieve them.

(*) Leads development of appropriate, segmented value story assets for the telesales team

(*) Ensures appropriate staffing and achievement of CMS and Aetna mandated service metrics.

(*) Provides insights back to relevant Product, Network, Care Management, and Digital leads

(*) Develops a holistic view of targeted prospect and member segments & the member journey for use in supporting sales.

(*) Focuses on staff leadership development; ensures development and succession plans are in place. Responsible for leading an organization of over 1200 agents.

(*) Recognizes opportunities for acquisition and retention and drives results.

(*) Integrates data and analytics about what customers are doing and why they are doing it.

(*) Highly communicative team player who drives cohesion and integration across stakeholder functions.

(*) Possesses client mentality.

(*) Thinks creatively & strategically to shape appropriate content & select delivery channels.

(*) Develops metrics to understand the success of campaigns in real time.

(*) Partners with analytics to develop segmentation and targeting strategies based on insights and data to drive consumer behavior.

() Foster best-practice sharing across sales, marketing, communications, analytics, and data science.()


(*) 15+ years of experience in health care, Medicare experience strongly preferred

(*) 7-10+ years of experience in Telesales

(*) 10+ years of progressive leadership experience

(*) Bachelor's degree, MBA or related master's degree preferred

Telework Specifications:

Full-Time Telework (WAH) or Part-Time Telework that includes time at vendor locations in Salt Lake City, UT; Provo, UT; San Antonio, TX; Memphis, TN; Sunrise, FL
