The CMS Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI) is assisting 140,000 clinicians nationwide in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of care by providing technical assistance for integrating quality improvement and by building on and spreading existing practice transformation tools, published literature, and technical assistance programs. As an awardee of this grant, Arizona Health-e Connection (AzHeC), in collaboration with Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care, will assist 2500 local Arizona providers in transforming their practices and move into a value based purchasing payment model. This combined team, named the Practice Innovation Institute (Pii), will work with these practices and support them during the transformation process by providing technology tools, onsite support and training/education that is specific to their patient base and will help them achieve the TCPI goals of effectiveness and efficiency of care. This person will be responsible all direct interactions with clinicians participating in the Pii program regarding their data needs. They will analyze and interpret reported data on an individual practice and Pii program level and communicate findings to clinicians and the Pii team. They will then help clinicians understand and use these analyses in order to make real time improvements in care delivery.
Fundamental Components:Serves as the Pii subject matter expert on provider analytics, including performance measurement and cost effectiveness/return on investment (ROI) analyses.Manages end-to-end business workflow, including assignment of tasks, documentation of requirements, analysis of current technology and technology changes. Documents workflow in workflow diagrams in order to support the Pii initiative.Leads team of Senior Analysts with all tasks and performs quality checks on all output Participates in collaborative system and data design sessions with the Pii clinician community, technical architecture resources, and development resources.Contributes to the review of Test Planning and Test Execution strategies and creates the appropriate User-Interface Model(s) to support projects.Assists in the development of data models and interface design specifications.Documents, tracks, and resolves issues related to data quality.Contributes to the design and mapping of data conversion strategiesParticipates in collaborative system and data design sessions with the user community, technical architecture resources, and development resources.Completes project activities on time and within budget.Uses critical thinking skills to proactively identify and communicate issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the Project Manager and other Pi personnel.Develops Product Overviews, FAQs, Tool Glossaries, system training material, and system user documentation to support implementation activities.Conducts interviews, fact-finding, and independent research to design creative, progressive IT solutions for business problems focused on progressive clinical practice improvement models of performance.BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:8 or more years of managed care analytics experience, preferably with Medicaid populations Demonstrated analytics management experience Demonstrated ability to collaborate Proficient in health research, analysis, and reporting SQL and/or SAS programming abilities in data warehouse environment, including use of statistical analysis techniques or business intelligence application development. SQL preferred.EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
