Aetna MDCR Broker Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

Accountable for driving and achieving company defined distribution channel sales goals and objectives. Responsible for the execution of market strategy impacting the recruitment, onboarding, engagement, production, and compliance adherence of assigned independent agent base.

Fundamental Components:

This position is responsible for meeting established health plan broker sales goals through management of assigned block of agents. Prospect and recruit new agents through collaboration with National and Direct agency relationships or through agent marketing activities targeted direct to the agent. Assures appropriate market coverage through management of agent recruiting activities. Responsible for identifying and developing local preferred agents to support the attainment of health plan goals. Responsible for ensuring agent adherence to all CMS and Aetna guidelines. Monitors compliance with state, federal, and health plan regulatory requirements. Administers broker training, certification, sales meetings, presentations, etc.


Minimum 5 years sales and/or broker sales experience required.

Sales management experience preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Ability to use standard corporate software packages and corporate applications.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Insurance/Insurance License is desired

Insurance/AHIP (Individual Health Insurance Committee) is desired

Telework Specifications:

This position will work out of the Phoenix, AZ or Tucson, AZ office. Ideal candidate will live in the Phoenix, AZ or Tucson, AZ area.


Commission bonus for meeting/exceeding market sales goals through broker management, etc. The prospect has the ability to shape the broker book as desired as this market has not had dedicated oversight and is in a position for growth and sustainability. Customer service experience is required. Health insurance license required.
