Aetna VA DSNP PSS Technical Lead in Newark, Delaware

No Telework; Candidate will work full-time from Harrisburg, PA or Newark, DE office.


Provides technical and operational support for key benefit plan administrative functions (i.e., eligibility, plan set-up, billing, drafting, etc.). Provides consulting services and/or develops tools to assist with executing processes against plan guidelines and client service expectations.

Fundamental Components:

Leads process improvement initiatives to improve productivity, accuracy and/or customer service and tool development. (*)

Manages assigned projects and ensure project plans and/or work tasks are in alignment with overall organization goals. (*)

May evaluate complex and/or high visibility cases, identify risks and recommend appropriate measures to manage risks while growing or retaining membership; responds to Department of Insurance complaints; interprets and provides clarification/documentation on new policies and processes; and participate in broker/customer meetings. (*)

Provides administrative and technical support to a team responsible for benefit plan administration services and processes; identifies and works with appropriate resources to address any downstream impact from process changes/modifications. (*)

Mentors, coaches and assists with the development of training for staff; provides technical expertise critical for achieving key performance measures and finalizing cost-effective decisions relative to benefit plan administration; may review the work of others or assist in quality assurance initiatives. (*)

Collaborates cross-functionally as well as cross-departmental to achieve business goals; influences change/enhancement to business processes, policies and system infrastructure to improve information quality, availability, and access. (*)


1-3 years technical experience supporting Plan Sponsor Services functions is REQUIRED.

Medicare / Medicaid experience is strongly preferred.

College degree of equivalent work experience.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
