Aetna is evolving from a health insurer to a health company. To support that, we're reinventing the traditional research department as a consultative Strategic Planning group focusing on actionable insights that drive disruptive innovation across product and service development, customer experience design, and marketing. This role is vital to mission and will be responsible for pushing the envelope on research methodologies.
The Market Research Manager position is to assist with the build a high-performing roster of research vendors. Drive innovations in research through recommendations on methodologies and techniques. Manage research vendors in executing fieldwork across the Enterprise.
Project management including managing market research professionals, and vendors and details of projects, such as timelines, sample, data feeds, data security, research logistics and budgets.
Plans for the effective development and implementation of longer-term market research agendas that include a synthesis of findings from multiple sources.
Prioritize work, forecasts, and schedules and coordinates resources.
Design research questionnaires and moderator guides, partner with Strategic Planners to write reports and present findings.
Advanced knowledge of quantitative and qualitative primary market research methods required.
10+ years Market Intelligence Research experience.; Agency experience preferred
Solid project management experience.
Previous experience with custom online quantitative research experience.
Professional communication skills both written and verbal for presentations / reporting purposes.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
