POSITION SUMMARY

Exciting opportunity for an proven and experienced IT Leader to be part of the growing Medicare IT organization. This position will own and lead one or more large projects and/or programs from inception through delivery, working collaboratively with business and IT partners, to ensure the highest level of quality and value.

Fundamental Components:

  • Consistently responsible for managing, leading and delivering complex projects/programs utilizing waterfall and/or agile best practices

  • Ability to communicate and effectively negotiate with business, sr. management, peers with a high level of confidence and composure

  • Proactively evaluates project activities, builds contingency plans, executes corrective action, and monitors issue resolution to mitigate risks such as scope and/or budget variances

  • Monitors and holds project resources accountable for meeting performance metrics

  • Partners and collaborates with the Business in building a strong foundational knowledge of the Business processes to deliver the appropriate IT Business solution

  • Prepares and delivers professional presentations to management and business

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • 6- 10 years of leading large, complex, IT projects/programs

  • Extensive working knowledge of both waterfall and agile best practices

  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels throughout the organization

  • Ability to tackle day-to-day tactical responsibilities, as well as see the strategic big-picture

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) required

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Project Management/Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired
