Deliver efficient and reliable LAN Center Operational services in accordance with published performance metrics and SLAs. Ensure that appropriate operational standards for hardware, software, and processes are established and maintained. Implement new technologies, in concert with engineering organization, to support and enhance operations and the distributed infrastructure.
Ensures server backups are scheduled, maintained and verified for successful completion to ensure a stable/reliable LAN environment. () Utilizes effective knowledge of SAN/LAN communications in a multi-protocol, leading edge environment. () Provides interface with vendors, senior engineers and business server owners on implementation/installation/maintenance. () Expertly assembles a new server. () Performs restore requests with no assistance. (*) Identifies and resolves problems while making use of sharp knowledge in technology environment
Demonstrated technical competencies, including knowledge of Veritas software (Backup Exec/NetBackup), NT 4.0, W2K, SAN Disk and PC skills. Problem determination and resolution skills a plus. Ability to diagnose and repair hardware problems
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Information Technology/WINDOWS 2000 certified professional is desired
Functional - Information Technology/Release & resource management/1-3 Years
Technical - Operating Systems/Windows 2003/1-3 Years/System Support
Technology/Selecting and Applying Technology Solutions/ADVANCED
