Aetnas IT Hygiene team focuses on maturing capabilities in vulnerability management, asset management, and configuration management. The Information Security Advisor will focus on configuration management specifically. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that configuration management objectives documented and implemented across Aetnas assets.

Fundamental Components:

  • Lead implementation of configuration management tools in scope for Global Security

  • Partner with infrastructure teams and affiliates for roll-out and remediation

  • Manage vendor partnerships

  • Responsible for maintaining control standard requirements

  • Responsible for measuring effectiveness of each control through Key Performance Indicators

  • Champion improvements that can be made to the program to increase maturity

  • Driving the implementation of configuration settings to be embedded in core IT processes

  • Ensuring technology used for determining configuration settings in place is up-to-date

  • Proactively identifying innovative technology that can be leveraged


  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Tripwire or Tanium

  • Experience with Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmark configurations

  • Experience with tools used to implement configuration changes across different Operating Systems

  • Knowledge on vulnerability management processes

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification


    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
