POSITION SUMMARY

Highest individual contributor job in Communications to support the Aetna Pharmacy Business Team. Acts as a key communications resource for business leader(s) or enterprise initiative. Identifies and solves complex problems, develops new solutions and recommends alternative solutions based on experience, intuition and audience insight.

Fundamental Components:

This resource will be required to develop and maintain a communication strategy including the implementation and oversight of the effectiveness of the program. They key responsibilities of the position are the following:

o Set communication strategy for Rx in collaboration with Pharmacy Leadership Team to drive RX strategy

o Support management of internal Rx communication standards and guidelines

o Develop tactical plan to Manage Pharmacy Communications end to end and develop timelines and identify core deliverables

o Align Pharmacy communications activities with Aetna marketing, branding and corporate communications messages

o Support the development and coordination of field communications with core Pharmacy business leaders as needed

o Supporting the Aetna Notification of Change Process to members for Formulary changes on a quarterly basis

o Support the coordination and distribution of clinical communications

o Develop and deploy approval standards and processes for all levels of communications

o Support the development of the resources that are field facing to improve communication effectiveness

o Coordinate the development of pharmacy publication to be delivered quarterly to field and broker partners external to Aetna including collaboration with Pharmacy Marketing

o Partner with Business Communications to align communications strategy with Aetna Enterprise

o Leading development of responses to industry events and competitor events

o Develop communications strategies using best practices, innovative ideas and audience insight

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge in communications disciplines(internal/external executive communications)

Experience in developing Pharmacy enterprise communications programs

Experience in writing and editing variety of communications for the Pharmacy Business Team on short notice

Demonstrate ability to build relationships, good interpersonal skills.

Proven track record in meeting critical milestones and driving project timelines

Demonstrate ability to manage multiple initiatives with various disciplines

Able to work in a fast pace environment and independently.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Have the ability to work with various leaders across the pharmacy organization. Develop standards and tools to improve communications within the organization to foster an environment of collaboration. The position will directly interact with all levels of leadership from operational leads to head of pharmacy organization. Resource will be an individual contributor role with core responsibility to integrate with Aetna and pharmacy branding teams to ensure we are delivering consistent messaging across pharmacy.
