POSITION SUMMARY

Looking for someone to deeply embed themselves across finance to understand training gaps across disciplines and building a plan for addressing those gaps. Assess, plan, and determine the appropriate intervention for the development gaps to achieve superior levels of quality, service and business results.

Fundamental Components:

Functional finance skill training would be a focus area (50%) as well as leadership/cultural development (50%)- leadership and management competencies. Management, leadership, and finance.

Work collaboratively with all Talent Management and HR disciplines to ensure a cohesive and integrated workforce development approach that supports the principles of integration, simplification and business impact.

Consult comfortably with business leaders with minimal supervision to drive creative and appropriate learning solutions and performance solutions to meet the goals associated with large-scale projects, products, and system implementations.

Simultaneously participate on and/or lead multiple, complex project teams which may require interdepartmental collaboration and influence. (*)

Consults with business clients to analyze performance gaps, conducts needs assessment and uses formal instructional design methodology to design and develop sophisticated, complex and/or enterprise-wide, performance-based training and educational tools. (*)

Develops appropriate measures and assessments to determine effectiveness and ROI to ensure training initiatives

Works in partnership as appropriate with internal solutions and external vendors with minimal supervision to deliver training tools and programs that meet the needs of multiple, diverse audiences and integrate effectively into Aetna's architecture. (*)

Responsible for the budget and/or financial implications of the training/curriculum.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

7-9 years professional training experience in a corporate training or related function.

5-7 years project management experience with a proven record of accomplishment meeting project dates.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
