This position is a key driver in the legislative implementation process to ensure the activities required to implement laws and regulations across Aetna businesses are compliant and completed in a timely, accurate manner.
-Builds and maintains positive relationships with business units to achieve timely implementation in response to legislation. -Effectively prioritizes and reviews the status of assigned work via use of compliance tools to track progress and manage towards business objectives and compliance due dates.
-Escalates issues requiring resolution on a timely basis.
Produces summaries of implementation activity (e.g., using department project management tools) for assigned laws.
-Helps business understand regulatory requirements. 6 Facilitates regular work group calls/discussions.
Identify gaps and recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing workflows.
-Gathers required evidence and attestations to confirm compliance with legal requirements and may perform testing to validate compliance.
5+ years experience in a regulatory compliance position in healthcare or insurance. Previous compliance experience a plus Demonstrated experience influencing others Relationship and change management - Project Management Strong probing and investigating skills Flexibility and adaptability to change a must
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
