This position provides leadership over supporting, driving and executing initiatives that improve the operations and effectiveness of the overall Shared Services organization. This includes producing prioritized roadmaps, standard ways to execute migrations & initiatives and being a center of excellence for activities such as lean, value stream mapping liaising & leveraging other Aetna organizations processes such as ABX and IT Portfolio generation / tracking.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following components:
Build standard process for migrating activities, including minimum standards (quality & documentation measures) expected prior to initiating transfers, tollgates, acceptance criteria and post implementation reviews
Produce and maintain a prioritized list of activities to be migrated and a cost / resource model that accompanies the migration
Drive execution and tracking of migration plans & status reporting in conjunction with pitching & catching organizations
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & TRANSFORMATION
Become a center of excellence for executing programs in Shared Services that Transform processes
Plan & execute initiatives with a target of 20% savings across Shared Services processes. Processes to include Voice of the Customer sessions, initial design & blueprinting workshops, Success Criteria definition (utilize tools & processes such as Value Stream Mapping, Lean, 6 Sigma and other ABX approaches in workshops as well as related change management requirements capture)
Become a Center of Excellence for process improvement tools such as Robotic Process Automation, Reconciliation Transaction Matching automation and ensure their use is promoted & controlled inside Shared Services & the broader Finance / Aetna community where appropriate
Sponsor, lead or support larger scale programs such as ERP reengineering, close to external reporting process improvements, EDW based data lake creation etc.
INITIATIVE, PLANNING, EXECUTION & TRACKING
Execute against the prioritized list of opportunities that meet or exceed financial targets for the organization
Ensure opportunities are aligned to maintained technology & process roadmaps
Build collateral to support consistent approaches to project & program execution, including both project planning and change management approaches and ensure these are being appropriately adopted across shared services initiatives
Build standard progress reporting packs including status reporting by initiative and for the overall portfolio
10+ years experience in PM environments. Familiarity w/ waterfall & agile development methodologies, Lean & Value Stream Mapping, executed both as a leader in individual projects and in broader portfolio/programs. High standards, excellent judgment, strong interpersonal skills, highly motivated. Ability to take initiative, work under pressure in fast paced, deadline driven environment.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
