POSITION SUMMARY

Opportunity to be in integrate part of departments success and work on Corporate Finance domains.

Provides a consistent, effective operating structure for IT projects through sound IT investment analysis, AIS project management methodology, effective AIS project resource allocation, and consolidated AIS project performance reporting. Creates and executes specific deliverables and activities as part of a team assigned to a business-sponsored IT project. Key contributor to overall project success.

Fundamental Components:

-Ability to gather and translate business and functional requirements into technical requirements deliver precise functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, definitions, outstanding issues, data profiling, data analysis, and data mapping while considering all impacted components from an end-to-end perspective.

-Responsible for direct interaction with Business Partners including, but not limited to, eliciting comprehensive functional requirements and use cases and contributing with Architecture and Development to recommend appropriate solutions. Assists with developing training materials.

-Guides and advises less-experienced Business Analysts. Senior BA assigned as Lead on a project ensures other BA's assigned to the project are completing their deliverables of high quality and on-time.

-Conducts interviews, and independent research to design creative, progressive IT solutions for business problems.

-Completes project activities on time and within budget, and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the Project Manager.

-Adheres to APLC or AGILE project management methodology by utilizing internal procedures and tools and identifying areas for methodology improvement

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

5+ years if IT Business Analyst experience. Prior experience with Hive, Hue, Hadoop and/or Netezza is desirable . Prior experience Finance domain is desirable Must possess sound knowledge of structured IT application development. lifecycles, methodologies inclusive of Use Case tools. Ability to recognize complex problems vs. objectives and apply creativity to analyze situations, develop solutions and procedures. HTML Content Management Systems. Experience with SQL queries required. Knowledge with Rational Requirement composer (RRC) is a plus Prior Health Insurance Industry experience is desirable. Must possess sound knowledge of structured IT application development lifecycles, methodologies inclusive of Use Case tools. Ability to recognize complex problems vs. objectives and apply creativity to analyze situations, develop solutions and procedures. Ability to communicate across IT disciplines and business areas. Excellent written and verbal communications.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
