POSITION SUMMARY

Develops strong relationships with network providers and internal business partners leading to the achievement of provider satisfaction, medical cost targets, network growth and/or efficiency targets. You will service, maintain and enhance relationships with facilities, physicians and ancillary providers. Foster growth of managed care products and create value for our constituents. As needed, negotiate/maintain competitive and complex Medicare and commercial contracts with providers according to pre-determined internal guidelines and financial standards. Works cross-functionally to execute network strategies.

Fundamental Components:

Required Skills: - Load final negotiated contracts into appropriate systems (Foundation) - Analyze and refine provider networks to assure appropriate network composition (Foundation) - Negotiate and manage network contractual arrangements (Foundation) - Negotiate contracts and other understandings on behalf of the company (Foundation) - Utilize PADU guidelines for negotiations (Foundation) - Manage requests for special contractual language (Foundation) - Participates in organizational audits to ensure organizational compliance with regulatory agencies as appropriate. - Evaluates current contracts, renegotiates where applicable, and applies managed care reimbursement principles (capitation, per diems, creative reimbursement, etc.) to maximize cost savings. - Ensures networks adequacy and cost effectiveness in accordance with established minimum standards.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Must possess a successful track record of managing relationships with provider and/or hospitals for Medicare and Commercial contracts. Multi-functional experience 2-5 years industry experience.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
