This position directly supports the Territories Finance mission to drive sustainable, long-term operating earnings growth. Individuals in this role will produce and analyze monthly reporting of total Territories financial statement and date of service (DOS) results to support decision-making processes and provide insight that helps our business partners, our plan sponsors, and Aetna achieve their financial goals.
The primary functions of this position include:
-Support the monthly Financial Statement close process for the Territories CFO and all market CFOs
-Assist in the understanding of emerging results for Aetnas Commercial business segments (7 million members)
-Promote information sharing, collaboration, and cross training among team members
-Analyze and understand the relationship between Financial Statement (FS) and Date of Service (DOS) results
-Deliver standard monthly reporting on FS and DOS results for Territories
-Support analysis and materials for the Monthly Operating Review (MOR) meeting
-Perform ad hoc analyses of premium and medical cost outliers
-Deliver unsolicited analysis of actual financial performance and provide opinion of forward-looking implications for balance of Plan year (i.e., proactively inform leadership vs reactively answering questions)
-5+ years finance related experience generally required, healthcare finance a plus.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
