Regional Vice President for East Region. Account management and business retention for Aetna products and services, in support of profitable growth and other business objectives.

Fundamental Components:

Sets, communicates, and executes operational strategy and performance measures in line with company, segment, region, and market goals. Ensures achievement of sales and membership growth goals. Analyzes competitive environment to support and improve pricing, underwriting, and product development strategies, as well as sales efforts. Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with all constituents (producers, plan sponsors, providers, customers, regulatory agencies). Partners with cross-functional team and represents sales to ensure internal and external constituent needs are met. Removes organizational barriers that impact the cross-functional work required to achieve results. Educates constituents on Aetna-specific policies, product information, and procedures, as well as industry issues and related current key business issues. Exhibits the following INT Market Head of Sales Behaviors: Anticipate and respond to marketplace trends, educate constituents about business opportunities, develop strategies that drive the business, manage talent effectively, promote collaboration among stakeholders, foster a compliant workforce, demonstrate cross-cultural sensitivity, manage customer relationships, link Aetna products to the constituent/-E strategy, shape profitable deals, craft innovative distribution strategies, create business to business partnerships, monitor and improve service profitability.


At least 10 years of industry sales experience. At least 5 years of sales management experience. College degree or equivalent work experience. Licensure, as required by state.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
