POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing writing, editing, project management and marketing communications consultative services to Aetna Behavioral Health to support the business in achieving its membership and revenue goals. This includes development of value-driven communications and deployment of cost-effective tactics that help the business acquire and retain customers for top-line growth. This role aids the Marketing team in strengthening Aetnas brand and improving external favorability through thought leadership initiatives by managing projects that help the business build trust and loyalty with clients, members, providers, brokers and consumers. The Manager must have the skills and knowledge to manage competing priorities and oversee projects that drive meaningful and measurable results.

Telework Specifications:

Preference is office-based in Chicago, IL with part-time telework (i.e., 1-2 days per week). Also open to office-based in Wellesley, MA and Hartford, CT with part-time telework.

Fundamental Components:

Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements include but are not limited to (* denotes essential functions):

  • Initiates and advises a variety of multi-channel communication strategies and leads execution based on business needs and priorities.

  • Consults with internal customers, which may include Senior Management, on marketing/communications initiatives critical to business success.

  • Plans, researches, writes and edits communications materials, e.g., marketing collateral, ads, publications, presentations, speeches, scripts, RFP language, meetings, etc.

  • Manages marketing projects, e.g., communication plans, budget allocations, design resources, production, distribution, evaluation, etc.

  • Understands digital marketing tactics and technical aspects of digital tools to develop compelling, relevant and valuable content that drives engagement.

  • Thinks creatively and strategically to shape appropriate content and selection of delivery channels, e.g., print, web, email, social, mobile, direct mail, video, etc.

  • Partners with colleagues across the enterprise to advocate on behalf of the business and identify opportunities to reach key audiences in new ways.

  • Coordinates with internal and external resources (as needed) timely creation and fulfillment of all marketing/communication projects.

  • Oversees repository of member case studies and corresponding communications that help to humanize impact of the businesss products, programs and services.

  • Plans and coordinates special events by engaging key stakeholders in the decision making process.(*)

  • Develops metrics and reporting to understand success in real time.(*)

  • Communicates effectively for impact and possesses a client mentality.(*)

  • Facilitates necessary review and approval processes.(*)

  • Supports special projects on an as-needed basis.(*)

    BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

    5+ years related marketing/communications experience.

    EDUCATION

    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
