Aetna QA Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Analyst works with our Product Management team to test new product features and troubleshoot product issues prior to release.

Fundamental Components:

Execute system release testing in DEV, QA, and PROD environments in all supported browsers.

Participate in technical specification reviews in order to fully understand new system functionality.

Create test case scenarios and test plans for product functionality based upon product specifications and implemented functionality.

Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables.

Ensures the ability to find defects and bugs quickly.

Communicate testing results to the Product Management and Product Development teams.

Liaise with other business groups including Client Services, Sales, Marketing and Software Development to assist with product questions and issues.

Assist in the triage, investigation and resolution of product issues.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Bachelor's degree

Technical background, with experience in QA testing

Excellent teamwork skills

Attention to detail

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Ability to translate technical terms into plain English

Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

Experience with the bswift system

Experience in health care & benefits admin industry

Microsoft Test Manager

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
