This critical strategic marketing role supports the group & supplemental insurance space (life, disability, etc). Aetna Marketing is looking for an individual who can articulate and communicate the Aetna value proposition and ensure that the value proposition for each core audience (e.g., member, plan sponsor, consultant/broker, doctors, etc.) is clearly defined through the lens of the customer and in plain language.
The Group/Life Marketing lead will:
Develop a content marketing strategy that advances the market positioning for the products and supports growth. Work with sales teams to develop the baseline pitch decks, demos, journeys, etc. from which customized presentations can be created.
Develop other supporting content that reinforces the value of the offering and helps Sales nurture prospect relationships throughout the sales cycle, e.g., thought leadership, cases, testimonials, etc.
Ensure individual pieces add up to a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
Member advocacy and journey-centric design: Bring the voice of the customer to the product design table.
Ensure the product development teams are working with data and insight driven journeys that deliver on the most valuable benefits to drive the most beneficial behavior changes.
Oversee the execution of in-market programs to ensure they are strategically sound and choreographed. We work with the Agency(Aetna's in-house creative agency), events, corporate communications, etc. to coordinate activities.
Develop clear and memorable value propositions for each audience we market to. Identify opportunities to demonstrate how the value of multiple products is greater than the sum of its parts, e.g., Medical is better with Pharma is included.
Serve as a catalyst for change within the business by bringing an outside-in perspective to the business through customer, competitor, and marketplace insights.
Develop content that helps Sales nurture relationships throughout the sales and relationship cycle.
Become an expert in their business and leverage that expertise to proactively deliver marketing recommendations that advance the goals and objectives of the business.
Operate with a client service mindset and serve as an advocate for their business within the broader marketing organization.
Inform member engagement strategy.
Oversee the execution of in-market programs to ensure they are strategically sound and coordinated.
Advocate for the member during product development.
10+ years of strategic marketing experience preferably in a B2B or B2B2C setting
Experience in the group & supplemental insurance space (life, disability, etc.) is highly desired.
Should be comfortable working with data and understand how to use data to generate insights (e.g. identify new market opportunities, optimize marketing programs, etc.)
Role can be located in Wellesley, MA, Chicago, IL or Hartford, CT
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
